The Syed Balkhi Challenge

Tooling around the internet the other day I noticed that in his blog, Balkhis - Vision for Success, Syed Balkhi mentioned that he searched for his name daily in Google. That led to this exchange in twitter:

@testymonkey: What will you do when the #1 spot in Google for syed Balkhi is not you?

@syedbalkhi: I would like to challenge anyone to take that spot from me :)

@testymonkey: what would someone have to gain from that challenge?

@syedbalkhi: Traffic from the keyword of my name... SEO services do it all the time ..

Gosh!  It seems to be that someone who searches daily for his own name in Google would at least register his own name as .com. Apparently not, as syedbalkhi.com was not registered, so I decided to take Syed Balkhi up on his challenge.

More importantly, though, the challenge is really to see how important the words in your domain name are to SEO. Will this domain rise to #1 in google for Syed Balkhi, simply because it is the domain name?
